Debbie is a fully qualified dance teacher. Debbie trained at Bush Davies School, one of the leading vocational dance schools in the United Kingdom. She went on to further her training at the Jazz Dance School, based in Bath. Whilst training, Debbie gained her teaching examinations with the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.
Debbie started Danceworks in April 1994. The school has grown from only a few classes to more than 30 classes and over 500 students.
Danceworks is now one of the leading dance schools in the Somerset area, based in Frome. Danceworks offers classes in Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Drama and Singing. Classes are available for children from three years to adults, both for beginners and more experienced dancers.
tiffany lewis
Tiffany is a professionally trained Dancer who was awarded a full scholarship to London’s Urdang Academy at the young age of 15 after training from a young age in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz.
Since graduating with a level 6 Diploma in professional dance and Musical Theatre she has performed for top creative/choreographers Sam and Alex Mcavoy, creative director of soul and co-founder of Mr Bowlers dance company, been a soloist at the Albert Hall for the Keep Fit Association and was represented by Pineapple Agency.
Alongside dancing and singing Tiffany has also become a level 2 ETM instructor and licensed fitness instructor in programs such as Zumba, Fitsteps, Booiaka and Boogie Bounce.
After her run as a performer in London and the many opportunities to perform and travel, Tiffany found her passion in teaching and educating young aspiring dancers to find and embrace their love of dance. Since being at Danceworks, Tiffany has progressed from teaching occasional workshops to now teaching all the Hip-hop, Commercial and Jazz classes throughout the week. Tiffany has also choreographed routines for Pashas UK tour in Frome for the last two years.
Tiffany is excited to further her qualifications and keep on top of new dance developments in order to provide the best teaching experience for her students.
Nicole Wooldridge
Nicole has been teaching ‘In the Spotlight’ for over 10 years for Danceworks.
Nicole has a BA Hons degree in Drama & Theatre Studies from Royal Holloway University of London. During this training, Nicole focussed on theatre in education, history of theatre and stage lighting.
After completing her degree, Nicole went to drama school to study a Masters in Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting (GSA). During her training, Nicole studied under the expertise of the worlds leading performers, directors, musical directors and practitioners in musical theatre.
Nicole has had extensive training in Acting, Singing, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern and Musical Theatre.
Nicole has a passion for performing and storytelling. Her favourite roles to date are Tracy Turnblad in ‘Hairspray’, Little Red Riding Hood in ‘Into the Woods’ and Charity in ‘Sweet Charity.’ Nicole also enjoys working as a professional director for theatre.
Nicole loves to teach Drama, Singing & Dancing not only to enhance technique, but also to see her students self confidence develop on and offstage. Nicole aims to facilitate the education of life and social skills through the medium of Musical Theatre.
Amy Collins
Following her younger years taking part in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz with Debbie at Danceworks, Amy obtained a degree in Professional Dance & Theatre Practice at Coventry University, whilst also captaining the Cheerleading, Jazz and Hip Hop university squads. Following this she went on to train at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance. Amy specialises in Contemporary focusing predominately on Laban and Limón based technique.
As well as being passionate about Dance, Amy's equal love is Music. She splits her time between Bath and London, promoting artists across UK TV platforms. Her current roster includes Christine and the Queens and Major Lazer. During this period Amy has acted as a movement coach for several acts - TV credits include BBC's Later with Jools Holland, Alan Carr 'Chatty Man' and 4Music's 'Fresh Focus’. Outside of TV, Amy has an extensive background in radio promotions representing Sam Smith and Wretch 32 to name a few.
When Amy’s not teaching dance or working in Promotions, she stage manages concert's with promoters Musialize, working with world class talent including Ciara, Stormzy, 50 Cent and Ludacris. She also runs ‘Flexx’; a Women in Music network with BBC Radio 1Xtra's Jamz Supernova.
Lyndsey Haines
Lyndsey joined Danceworks in the year 2000. Lyndsey started with Ballet, and then Tap, Modern, Hip Hop, Jazz and Commerical. After receiving a distinction in her first exam, Lyndsey has continued her examinations through the years most recently in Gold Jazz and Intermediate Ballet.
Having had the pleasure to take part in 11 Danceworks shows, her favourite roles have been the 'Sugar Plum Fairy' in The Nutcracker and the 'Queen of Hearts' in Alice in Wonderland. She has also had the opportunity to choreograph dances for the One Night Only Show a few years ago.
At age 15 Lyndsey starting assisting in Pre-Primary and Primary Ballet with Debbie. Following on from this she has been assisting Tiffany with the Hip-Hop classes since 2013.
Over the past year Lyndsey has enjoyed co-teaching Popworks covering maternity for Teresa. This coming term she will be continuing to cover Popworks for Tiffany and will also be teaching Hip-Hop until she returns in January.
